Choy Sum Sawi Coco Gravy / Sawi Masak lemak

Ingredient/Bahan2
  • 1/2 kg Choy Sum / 1/2 Kg Sawi Hijau
  • 50gm Anchovy / 50gm  Ikan Bilis siap kopek
  • 20 pcs of Chili Api / 20 ulas chili Api
  • 2 cm Fresh Turmeric / 2 cm Kunyit Segar
  • 200ml Fresh Coconut Milk / 200ml Santan Segar
  • 1 piece of Asam Gelugor / 1 keping Asam Gelugor
  • Salt to taste / Garam Secukup rasa

Preparation of Ingredient/Penyediaan Bahan2
  • Clean the choy sum,cut about 4-5 inches long/Bersihkan sawi dan di potong 4-5 inchi panjang.
  • In a blender moderately grind, chilli,turmeric and a bit of salt/Kisar sederhana Chilli, kunyit dengan sedikit garam
  • So with the Anchovies,in a mortar crush it slightly / Begitu ikan bilis ditumbuk biar pecah-pecah sedikit.

How to Cook? / Cara Memasaknya
  • In a pre heat pan or wok,put in all the grind-ed ingredients /panaskan periuk atau kuali masukan bahan2 yang dikisar dan gaul rata
  • Add in coconut milk and stir mix to blend, continous stirring is important to avoid cuddling of coconut milk / Masukan santan segar dan kacau rata berterusan sehingga hampir mendidih, ini penting bagi menghindar santan berketul.
  • Stir until boil and add in anchovies cook for another 3-4 minutes / Masukan ikan bilis dan terus kacau selama 3-4 minit lagi.
  • Finally add in the choy sum,stir to mix well and let it cook for another 4-5 minutes / bila mula mendidih, masukan sawi yang sedia di hiris, dan masak 4-5 minit lagi
  • Add in asam gelugor and salt to taste/ masukan asam gelugor dan garam secukup rasa
  • Ready to Serve with... / setelah masak bolehlah dihidangkan deng
Notes & Tip

 
Choy Sum / Sawi Hijau
Choy Sum normally stir fried, a typical  chinese vegetables, however with a bit of innovation and trying, cooking Choy Sum "the masak lemak style" will bring you into a new dimension of taste where the sweet Choy Sum flavor further enhance when infuse with coconut milk and cili api.
Selalu sawi hanya digoreng sebagai sayuran sampingan, walau bagaimana pun mencuba masak sawi gulai lemak cili api memberi satu dimensi baru dalam rasa. Sayuran sawi masak lemak lebih membangikit rasa sawi yang manis dan sedap.
