Chicken Potato & Red Onion Gravy/Ayam Kentang Masak Merah
 Ingredient/Bahan2

  • 1 Kg Chicken Breast & drumstick / Dada & peha ayam
  • 6 Medium Size Potatoes / Kentang Saiz Sederhana
  • 100gm Dried Chilli Paste / Pes Chili Kering
  • 1 Big Red Onion / Bawang Besar Merah
  • 4 Cloves Garlic / Bawang Putih
  • 5 Shallots / Bawang Merah Kecil
  • 1/2 Tsp of Cinnamon Powder / Serbuk Kayu Manis
  • 3 Tbsp of Tomato Ketchup/ Sos Tomato
  • 4 Tbsp of Cooking Oil / Minyak Masak
  • 1/2 piece of Asam Gelugor/ 1/2 keping Asam Gelugor
  • 1 Tsp Sugar / Gula
  • Salt to Taste/ Garam secukup rasa
Preparation of Ingredient / Penyedian Bahan2
  • Clean chicken breast and drumstick, than rub with turmeric and salt/Bersihkan dada dan peha ayam,di-oles dengan garam dan sedikit serbuk kunyit
  • Keep aside the chicken,to infuse turmeric and salt to it for about 15 minutes/Simpan ayam yang dilumur serbuk kunyit dan garam dan perap selama 15 minit
  • Slice the potato thinly/ Hiris nipis kentang
  • Chop the onion into small pieces/ Bawang besar di hiris kecil
  • Blend and grind, onion,shallots,garlic,cinnamon powder, chilly paste/ Kisar  bawang besar yang dicincang halus serta,bawang putih,bawang kecil merah, serbuk kayu manis,pes chili,gula dan garam sehingga sebati.
How to cook? / Cara Memasak
  • In a pre heat cooking pan or wok add in cooking oil./ Masukan minyak masak
  • Fry the chicken and the sliced potato, turn over the chicken at an interval to ensure a well cook/goreng di atas api yang sederhana, ayam dan kentang.
  • Add in the blended or grind-ed ingredients, gently turn and roll over the chicken and potato with the thick onion gravy / masukan bahan2 yang dikisar dan digaul.
  • Add in tomato ketchup and Asam Gelugor, continue to roll mix and add salt to taste for another 15 minutes./ Masukan asam gelugor, garam secukup rasa dan gaul rata perlahan2 selama 15 minit.
  • Ready to serve./Bolehlah dihidangkan
